* * *là/la/Come l'italiano là, anche il suo equivalente inglese there è avverbio di stato in luogo o moto a luogo, e indica un punto lontano sia da chi parla sia da chi ascolta (in tal modo opponendosi a qui / here): i miei figli sono qui, i tuoi sono là = my children are here, yours are there.
